本學期二年級英語主題課程由王薇蘊老師(201-203班)、呂一美老師(204-212班)、三位外師Christy、 Ed、Honey任教以及結合二年級班級全體導師，以二年級綜合課的影子單元，發展Light & Shadow光與影探索主題課程。從日常中觀察光與影的特性，帶領學生認識生活中影子從哪裡？影子有甚麼特性、影子為何有變化？除了手影遊戲外，最後以團隊合作的方式演出英文影子偶戲。        首先，利用繪本豐富主題學習內容，並讓學生運用閱讀策略理解光和影繪本內容（圖片理解字義、連結自身生活情境）。再者連結影子歌曲朗朗上口、易記憶的特性，讓學生自然而然習得句型，並啟發情意態度的多元學習。

    最後，在二年級綜合課完成製作學生喜愛的動物紙偶，在英語主題課練習以學生團體合作方式展演光影紙偶戲。展演影子秀的過程中啟發孩子能活用所學，孩子不但熱烈參與更引起孩子的高度共鳴，展現孩子出乎意外的積極努力。二年級英語主題課程(TBL)的學習活動，成功達到孩子是教室中的主人！

The theme for this semester's second-grade English course is about Light and Shadow. The course is co-taught by both Chinese and foreign English teachers, with Teacher Wang Mei Wen handling classes 201-203 and Teacher Lu Yimei overseeing classes 204-212, in collaboration with our three foreign English teachers, Christy, Edmarie, and Honey.

Throughout this unit, students explored the relationship between light and shadow. They observed the characteristics of light in their daily lives, gaining insights into how shadows are formed and why they undergo changes. Several activities were carried out in this course such as animal hand shadow games. Additionally, the students culminated their learning with a shadow puppet show conducted in English.

In the beginning, picture books were used to enrich the subject learning content, and let students use reading strategies to understand the content of light and shadow picture books (pictures were used to understand word meanings and connect to their own life situations). Furthermore, combined with the catchy and easy-to-remember shadow songs, students could naturally learn sentence patterns, thus inspiring diverse learning styles and attitudes.

   In the final stages of the course, second-grade students successfully completed the production of an animal paper puppet show. During themed classes, students were organized into small groups for rehearsals. In the process of preparing for their final presentation, the students could make full use of what they have learned. They exhibited their interest and enthusiasm by showing their unexpected positive efforts. The learning activities of the second-grade English Theme Course (TBL) have successfully made the students the masters of the classroom!
