Learning English with Fun and Family

九月十三日週六,本校班親會熱鬧展開!這一次,我們邀請了三位外師 Ed、Christy、Eythiel 以及中師 Pauline,一起帶領 14 組家庭,在歡樂的氛圍中共學英語。
On Saturday, September 13, our Parent–Teacher Meeting was filled with joy and laughter! This time, three foreign teachers—Ed, Christy, and Eythiel—together with our local teacher Pauline, led 14 families to enjoy learning English in a fun way.

活動一開始,老師們設計了「Parts of an Animal」的猜猜樂遊戲,大小朋友們眼睛睜得大大的,熱情投入。接著,大家一起複習顏色單字,用節奏感十足的方式,把顏色和動物搭配起來,現場響起一波又一波整齊又有趣的朗讀聲。
The activity began with a lively “Parts of an Animal” guessing game that had both kids and parents fully engaged. Then, everyone reviewed color words and practiced using them to describe animals with playful rhythm and chant. The classroom was filled with cheerful voices!

最吸引人的時刻來了!親子們跟著老師一起共讀經典繪本 Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?,並大聲朗讀出其中的句子:
The highlight of the day was reading the classic picture book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Together, students and teachers read aloud some favorite lines:

  • “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?”

  • “I see a Red Bird looking at me.”

  • “Red Bird, Red Bird, what do you see?”

  • “I see a Yellow Duck looking at me.”

  • “Yellow Duck, Yellow Duck, what do you see?”

之後,親子們選擇自己最喜歡的動物,加上顏色,畫在紙上,並和老師分享。
After the reading, families chose their favorite animals, added colors, and drew them on paper. The children proudly shared their work with the teachers:

“What animal did you draw?”
"I drew a green frog!"
“Wow! Can you say, ‘I see a green frog looking at me’?”
"I see a green frog looking at me!"
“Excellent! High five!”

最後,大家合作仿照繪本內容,完成一場充滿笑聲的英語讀者劇場。
Finally, everyone worked together to perform a reader’s theater based on the story.

在遊戲、閱讀與表演中,家長與孩子默契十足,不僅快樂學英語,還增添了親子互動,更讓孩子的英語實力大大提升!
With teamwork, laughter, and creativity, parents and children learned English happily, strengthened their bonds, and made great progress in English together!
